Despite out hitting the Dukes 15-8 the Quakers ended up on the short side of the scoreboard. All five walks allowed to Marlington hitters ended up scoring. Rylie Troy scored three of the eight Quaker runs and stole another base. Elly Exline had 4 hits in the game and 2 RBIs. Bailee Thorn, Meg Rossero, Taylor Thorpe and Jessica Slocum (law firm of senior, senior, senior and senior) each had two hits. Hayden Carner and Hannah Kelm each singled.

Taylor Thorpe got hurt when covering the plate in the 7th on a wild pitch. The X-rays showed no broken bones. Taylor struck out 10 in the loss.

Bailee Thorn made an oustanding play in a run down as she chased down and tagged the speedy Marlington slapper Angela Cirone. Elly Exline stayed with a hot shot to third and made the throw showing a great set of hands. Brooke Veglia came off the bag at first on an errant throw and with great awareness tagged the incoming runner.
