After having last Saturday off from racing, the Salem cross country team returned to action on a cool day as they raced in The Legends Meet at the Trumbull County Fairgrounds. The Lady Quakers crossed the finish line with numerous personal season and career best times. In a field with 33 complete teams, Salem’s strong effort was enough to finish fifth in the small school race team standings. The small school race featured a number of division II and division III teams. Leading the Lady Quakers in the 266 runner field were Carly Hall (4th – 18:45), Molly Hopple (28th – 20:13), Kami Rohm (52nd – 21:18), Clara Double (56th – 21:30), Mikaylynn Murphy (66th – 21:52), Allie Murray (82nd – 22:01) and Halle Cochran (87th – 22:09). Salem’s next meet will be the Eastern Buckeye Conference meet to be held at Marlington next Saturday.
