The Salem girls cross country team captured their fifth straight Columbiana County team title on a warm evening at the Columbiana Ward Athletic Complex. The Lady Quakers scored 23 points, besting second place East Palestine’s 56 point. Carly Hall broke the county course meet record in a time of 20:15 on her way to the individual title. Many other Lady Quakers joined Hall on the first and second All-County teams. First team All-County performers included Molly Hopple (2nd – 21:32) and Kami Rohm (5th – 22:22). Second team All-County performers for the Lady Quakers were Halle Cochran (9th – 23:07), Allie Murray (11th – 23:43), Clara Double (12th – 23:49) and Mikaylynn Murphy (13th – 23:52). The Lady Quakers return to racing Saturday as they will run in the Malone Invitational at Glen Oak high school.
