The Salem Junior High Boys track and field team concluded their season Monday evening at West Branch with a bunch of personal records (PRs) and a quad meet team win. Besides the two rival schools competing, was also Carrollton and Minerva. The meet began to see the Quaker and Warrior boys’ teams pull away in the team standing, where Salem would eventually come out on top with 154 points over West Branch’s 130. Event winners on the evening for the Quakers were Carson Stockman (discus), Caleb Stockman (shot put), Dillon Monroy (high jump), Caleb Shafer (400), the 800 meter relay team of Shafer, Max Kemats, Aarya Sharma and Sam Walter, and the 1600 meter relay team of Shafer, Alex Croxall, Ian Ziegler and Davin Koskinen. Continuing his season will be Carson Stockman who qualified for the OHSAA Junior High State Track and Field Championship this Saturday in Lancaster, Ohio. Elite luck at state Carson!
