Quakers tops East Palestine in back-and-forth affair, 6-5

Quakers outlasted East Palestine on Saturday after four lead changes, squeaking out a 6-5 win at Salem.

Quakers pulled out the win thanks to a strong eighth inning. Quakers went up for good on an RBI single by Tyler Simms off Telischak, plating Nate Noles.

Noles had a hot bat for Quakers. Noles went 2-4 and scored two runs. He singled in the second and fourth innings.

In the bottom of the second, Quakers grabbed the early lead, 2-0. The Quakers attack began with a single from Noles. A stolen base then moved Noles from second to third. Simms singled, scoring Noles and Kane Zellers.

Quakers scored one run in the fifth inning, and then followed it up with one more in the eighth. In the fifth, Quakers scored on a groundout by Keaton Turney, bringing home Cooper Bezeredi.
