Game Recap

What a birthday celebration for Clara Janofa as she tied the career RBI record at Salem with her 58th RBI on a single in the 6th scoring Bailee Thorn. It would provide a key insurance run and lift the Quaker lead to 7-3. Clara would also pitch a complete game in the win striking out 5 batters. As extra motivation and leadership, Clara brought Chick-fil-A for her teammates and coaches! Emma Minamyer led the offense with 3 hits on the evening. Elly Exline, Bailee Thorn, Sydney Kline and Clara Janofa would have two hits apiece. It was nice to see the whole lineup having good at bats and kudos to the Bulldog outfield which took away at least 3 hits. The Quaker defense didn’t commit any errors as they look to clean things up for sectional play on Wednesday.

Alisha Dean had two hits for EP and scored twice. Jade McBride pitched for EP.

Salem plays at Marlington tomorrow 5:00pm.
